Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and EDVO (“EDVO”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They apply to your use of our website, apps, learning platform and related services (together, the “Services”).
By creating an account, subscribing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2The Services
EDVO provides online learning tools for students, including practice questions across subjects such as Maths, English, Science and NAPLAN preparation, progress tracking and reports for parents, carers and teachers.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Services for your own or your family’s or class’s learning. You need an internet connection and a compatible device. You are responsible for any data charges or equipment costs.
Our content is designed to support learning. It is not a guarantee of any particular school result, NAPLAN score or other outcome.
3Eligibility and accounts
To create a parent, carer, teacher or school account you must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. When you register you agree to:
- Give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date
- Keep your sign-in details private and secure
- Be responsible for everything that happens under your account
- Tell us straight away at info@edvo.com.au if you think your account has been accessed without permission
You may not create an account using someone else’s identity or create more than one account to get around a limit or a restriction we have applied.
4Student accounts and parental responsibility
Student accounts are created and managed by a parent, carer, teacher or school. Students sign in with a Student ID and PIN. If you create a student account you confirm that:
- You are the student’s parent, carer or legal guardian, or you are authorised by them or by the school to act for the student
- You have given any consents needed for the student’s information to be used as described in our Privacy Policy
- You will supervise the student’s use of the Services and keep their PIN private
5Schools, teachers and organisations
If you register on behalf of a school, classroom or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and that the organisation is responsible for the use of the Services by its teachers and students.
Schools and teachers are responsible for obtaining any consents they need from parents and carers before adding students. We handle student information for them only to provide the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy. Special arrangements for schools may be set out in a separate written agreement, which will prevail over these Terms where they conflict.
6Plans, prices and payment
We offer free and paid plans, such as Single Subject, Combo and All Access, on monthly or yearly billing, with different pricing for additional students. The current plans, features and prices are shown on our Membership page at the time you subscribe.
- Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise
- You must pay all fees in full using a valid payment method. By giving us a payment method you authorise us and our payment provider to charge it
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details
- If a payment fails, we may retry it, ask for another payment method, or suspend or end your paid access until it is paid
7Automatic renewal and cancellation
Cancellation of Automatic Renewals. You may cancel your EDVO membership at any time, and cancellation will be effective immediately. You will continue to have access to the program until the current billing period ends. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partially used membership periods. To cancel your membership, sign in to your EDVO parent account and click the words “Cancel membership” on your Subscription details page. Follow the instructions for cancellation under the heading “Cancel Membership.”
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) for the same period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you may cancel before then if you do not accept it.
8Refunds
All subscription payments are non-refundable. We do not issue refunds or credits for cancellations, partially used membership periods, or unused time remaining in a billing period, except where a refund or other remedy is required under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
If you cancel your membership, your cancellation will stop future automatic renewals. You will retain access until the end of the current billing period, but no refund or credit will be provided for the remaining time, except where required by law.
9Passwords and account security
You are responsible for keeping your password and any Student PINs confidential. Do not share them with anyone outside your family, class or school. If you choose to remember a sign-in on a device, make sure it is a device you trust.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that results from you not keeping your sign-in details secure.
10Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights
- Upload or share anything that is unlawful, offensive, harassing, harmful to children or misleading
- Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to use
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or introduce viruses or harmful code
- Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to copy content or collect data from the Services
- Copy, reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the Services, except as the law allows
- Cheat, or use the Services in a way that gives a false picture of a student’s progress
- Use the Services in a way that could damage our reputation or the experience of other users
11Your content
You may be able to submit information or material through the Services, such as profile details, messages or feedback (“Your Content”). You keep ownership of Your Content.
You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store and display Your Content as needed to run, support and improve the Services. You promise that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not break any law or anyone else’s rights. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
12Our intellectual property
The Services, including all questions, lessons, text, graphics, logos, designs, software and data, are owned by EDVO or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services described in these Terms, we do not give you any rights in them.
You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, sell or create derivative works from our content without our written permission. Printing a small number of pages for personal or classroom use as part of your subscription is fine.
13No resale or commercial use
Unless we have agreed in writing, you may not resell, sublicense, rent or otherwise commercially exploit the Services or their content, or use them to build a competing product or service.
14Third-party services and links
The Services may link to or work with websites, tools and services run by others, such as payment providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
15Availability, changes and termination
We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but we do not promise that they will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add, suspend or remove features, content or plans from time to time, for example for maintenance, security or to improve the Services.
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we reasonably believe your use puts others or the Services at risk, if a payment is overdue, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and the chance to fix the problem first. If we end a paid plan without cause, we will refund the unused part of your prepaid fees.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability and governing law, will continue to apply.
16Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, and we do not give any warranties, express or implied, other than those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not promise that the Services will meet your particular needs, that content will be free of errors, or that they will achieve a particular educational result.
17Limits of liability and your consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement. If you are a consumer, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the Services
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose
- Where we are allowed to limit our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee, we limit it, at our option, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again
18Your responsibility for misuse
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover any reasonable losses, costs and claims that we suffer because you breach these Terms, misuse the Services or infringe someone else’s rights. This does not apply to the extent that the loss was caused by us.
19Privacy
We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is available on our website. Please read it to understand how we collect, use and protect your information and your children’s information.
20Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia. If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to sort it out together.
21Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you, for example by email or a notice in the Services, before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel your account.
