How to use EDVO

Everything parents and students need to get started, practise and follow progress, step by step.

How EDVO fits together

Parents and children each have their own dashboard. A parent signs up on the website, adds their children and gets a Student ID and PIN for each one. Children log in on their own Student Login page and practise. Every answer is recorded live, so children see their results straight away and parents see the same progress on their own dashboard.

1

Create your account

  • On our website, click Membership in the top menu
  • Choose your billing cycle (monthly or yearly) and how many children you have
  • Pick a plan (Single Subject, Combo or All Access) and click View Curriculum & Select
  • Enter your name, email, an optional mobile number and a password, then click Create account
  • We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in to confirm your email and you will land straight in your parent dashboard

Check your spam folder if the code does not arrive within a minute, or tap Resend code.

2

Sign in next time

  • Click Sign in at the top of the website
  • Make sure the Sign in / Sign up tab is selected, then enter your email and password
  • You will be taken to your parent dashboard
  • Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? and we will email you a reset link
3

Add your child

  • In your parent dashboard, choose Add child
  • Enter your child’s first name or nickname and select their year level
  • EDVO creates their login: a Student ID (like ST123456) and a 6-digit PIN
  • Give these to your child. They use them on the Student Login page
  • You can add more children at any time, as many as your plan allows

Keep the PIN private. You can change it for your child whenever you like.

4

Watch live progress and reports

  • Your dashboard shows each child’s results updating in real time
  • See completed sessions, overall accuracy, questions attempted, correct and incorrect answers, skills attempted and completed, and certificates earned
  • A Learning Balance gauge shows whether questions are matching your child’s current level
  • Subject reports break results down for Mathematics, English, Science and NAPLAN, with strengths and areas to improve
  • Results update while your child is still practising, so you always know what they are doing
5

View your child’s own dashboard

  • Open your child’s profile from your dashboard and choose the option to view their dashboard
  • You see exactly what your child sees: their subjects, skills, results and messages
  • You can look around without signing your child out on their own device
6

Manage your children

  • Change a PIN: choose your child, then reset or change their PIN. Do this if they forget it or you think someone else knows it
  • Edit details: update a name or year level as your child moves up a year
  • Remove a child: remove a child account you no longer need. Their practice results for that profile are removed with it, so please be sure first
  • Add a child: add another child from the same place whenever you need to
7

Manage your subscription

  • See your current plan, billing cycle and next renewal date
  • Change plan or add children when your needs change
  • Cancel online at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for
  • New subscriptions have a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment
  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include tax
8

Use a coupon

  • If you have a coupon code, enter it from your subscription or billing area before you pay
  • The discount is shown before you confirm
  • Contact us if a valid code does not apply and we will help
9

Messages and support tickets

  • Use the Communications area for messages from EDVO, such as updates and announcements
  • Need help? Open a support ticket and describe the problem. Our team replies inside your dashboard and you can follow the conversation there
  • You can also email us at info@edvo.com.au

Install the app

Get the Student app

Add EDVO to your phone, tablet or computer. Click Install, or follow the quick Apple steps below.

EDVO works as an installable app, so you do not need an app store. Once it is installed it gets its own icon and opens in full screen like any other app. When a student opens the installed app, it goes straight to the Student Login.

Opens like an app
Its own icon and a full-screen view with no browser bars.
One tap to start
Students open it straight from the home screen or desktop.
No app store needed
Installs free from your browser and takes very little space.
Always up to date
It updates by itself, so you always have the latest version.
Look for the install message

Open the Student Login page. On most phones, tablets and computers you will see a message offering to install the Student app, with an Install button. Click it and follow the prompt. That is all it takes.

Step-by-step for your device

Android phone or tablet

Chrome
  1. 1Open the Student Login page in Chrome
  2. 2Tap the Install button in the banner or install panel. You can also tap the menu (three dots) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen
  3. 3Tap Install to confirm
  4. 4Find the new icon on your home screen or in your app list and tap it to open

iPhone and iPad

Safari
  1. 1Open the Student Login page in Safari
  2. 2Apple devices do not show an Install button. Instead, tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up). It is at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and at the top on iPad
  3. 3Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen
  4. 4Check the name and tap Add
  5. 5Open the app from your Home Screen

Can’t see Add to Home Screen? Make sure you are using Safari and not a browser inside another app, then scroll further down the Share menu.

Windows or Mac computer

Chrome or Edge
  1. 1Open the Student Login page in Chrome or Edge
  2. 2Click Install in the banner, or click the install icon (a small screen with a down arrow) at the right end of the address bar
  3. 3Click Install in the pop-up
  4. 4The app opens in its own window and adds a shortcut to your desktop, Start menu or Dock

Mac using Safari

macOS Sonoma or newer
  1. 1Open the Student Login page in Safari
  2. 2Click File in the menu bar, then Add to Dock, or use the Share button and choose Add to Dock
  3. 3Check the name and click Add
  4. 4Open the app from your Dock

Firefox on computers cannot install web apps. Use Chrome, Edge or Safari instead.

Parents can use the same steps to add the website to their own home screen for quick access to the parent dashboard.

Which subjects can I see?

The subjects in the left menu depend on the plan your parent chose.

Single Subject
One subject of your choice: Maths, English or NAPLAN Preparation.
Combo Package
Maths and English for Years K to 12.
All Access Pass
Maths, English, Science and NAPLAN.
NAPLAN years

Students preparing for NAPLAN

Students in a NAPLAN year have a dedicated NAPLAN area in their dashboard. Click NAPLAN in the left menu to see the overview with your sessions, accuracy, attempts and time learning, then choose an area to practise:

Numeracy
Practise the maths skills tested in NAPLAN, with questions at your year level.
Reading
Build comprehension by reading texts and answering questions about them.
Writing
Practise planning and writing clear, well-structured responses.
Conventions of Language
Strengthen spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Practice Tests
Try full NAPLAN-style practice tests to build confidence before the real thing.

Practise a little often. Short sessions in each area, finishing with a practice test, build confidence better than one long session.

Frequently asked questions

My child forgot their PIN. What do I do?

Sign in to your parent dashboard, choose your child and reset their PIN. Give them the new PIN to use on the Student Login page.

My child is locked out after wrong tries.

For safety, too many wrong PIN attempts pause the login for about 15 minutes. After that your child can try again, or you can reset the PIN from your dashboard.

Can my child use EDVO on a tablet or phone?

Yes. EDVO works in the browser on computers, tablets and phones. On the Student Login page you may also see an option to install the Student app, or you can use your browser’s “Add to Home Screen” option so it opens like an app.

Do I need the App Store or Google Play?

No. The Student app installs straight from your browser. Open the Student Login page and tap or click Install. On iPhone and iPad, use Safari’s Share button and choose Add to Home Screen.

I can’t see an Install button.

Apple devices do not show one. Use Safari’s Share button, then Add to Home Screen. On other devices, try Chrome or Edge, make sure you are on the Student Login page, and check that the app is not already installed. Firefox on computers does not support installing web apps.

How do I remove the app?

Remove it like any other app. On iPhone or iPad, press and hold the icon and choose Remove App. On Android, press and hold the icon and choose Uninstall. On a computer, open the app, open its menu and choose Uninstall, or remove it from your apps list.

Can I see what my child is doing right now?

Yes. Results appear in your parent dashboard live while your child practises, and you can also open your child’s dashboard from yours.

Why can’t my child see a subject?

Students only see the subjects included in your plan. Single Subject includes one subject, Combo includes Maths and English, and All Access includes Maths, English, Science and NAPLAN. You can change plan from your dashboard.

How do I add a second child?

Choose Add child in your parent dashboard. Additional children are charged at the sibling rate shown on the Membership page.

How do I cancel?

Cancel online from your subscription area at any time, or email info@edvo.com.au. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

How do I delete my account or my child’s information?

You can remove a child from your dashboard, or email info@edvo.com.au to ask us to delete your account and information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
